RB-S / Public facing statement
Really Bad Studio creates interactive jokes, playable campaigns, and digital experiences people complain about to their friends. Enterprise-grade tools for unreasonable problems, built inside our own imaginary operating system.
Our interfaces lie. Our invoices don't.

Task status: reassigned to you.
14 agents were briefed. 0 delivered. 1 offered to schedule a call to discuss the delegation framework. The task is now back in your queue, slightly larger.
01
Every wrong decision in the interface is a decision. We choose the grievance, then we build the machine that makes it worse in public.
02
The premise may be bad. The execution is not. Fast, keyboard-operable, accessible, reversible — the joke never costs the user their afternoon.
03
Each project ends in something you can send to a colleague who will recognise themselves in it, and reply within the hour.

A mid-size engineering employer needed graduate applications from people who would actually enjoy the work. We built a browser game about being handed an impossible ticket on your first day.
Step 1 of 4
We start with something that genuinely annoys your audience — the status meeting, the approval chain, the tool that emails you about emails. The grievance has to be specific and widely felt, or the joke has nothing to stand on. This is a research step, and we write it down.
Step 2 of 4
We design the version of that system with every restraint removed, and take it completely seriously. Exaggeration does the arguing, so the writing stays flat and the interface stays confident. One degree from plausible is the target.
Step 3 of 4
Underneath the fiction we build the real thing properly: fast, keyboard operable, accessible to WCAG 2.2 AA, tested on the phones your audience actually owns. Every apparent mistake is deliberate and every real one gets fixed.
Step 4 of 4
We launch with the shareable artefact already built — a result card, a score, a certificate of poor judgement — so the audience does the distribution. Then we report what actually happened, including the parts that did not work.
No account, no email wall, no cookie negotiation. Play the thing, send it to a colleague, get on with your day.
Clear scope, real timelines, a named contact, and work that gets talked about without embarrassing you.
